About the Event

In support of the Office of Personnel Management guidance to strengthen our efforts to protect the federal workforce to ensure continuity of operations, NIH is urging staff to limit work-related attendance at large meetings to those that are mission critical. Based on this guidance, the NIH is cancelling the 2020 Health in Buildings Roundtable Conference.

Green buildings are among the fastest growing industries in the world, representing a $260 billion market in the United States in 2015. But while sustainable buildings comprises 20 percent of new construction, these practices lack adoption in certain markets and face the challenge of including best practices in healthy building design. Attendees in the 2020 Health in Buildings Roundtable Conference will engage across sectors and disciplines to develop actionable strategies that incorporate innovative efficiency and design techniques, new building materials, healthy building design, and sustainability standards across multiple building types.
