Carl Grimes, HHS CIEC, has been a private consultant for occupants of buildings since 1987. His specialty is assisting them with understanding their experiences in the indoor environment, developing plans to improve, and verification of success. He is past President of the Indoor Air Quality Association, past VP of Practice of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate, served on the AAAAI-ACAAI work group writing medical practice parameters for allergists, plus the committee that wrote the ASHRAE Mold Position Document and the current Guideline draft on Defining Building Dampness. Carl is also a member of the ethics committee of the International Society of Environmental Epidemiology. He is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences and the author of the 1999 book, Starting Points for a Healthy Habitat.
